Their haunting appearance clad in black armor resembles that of the Grim Reaper. The Nazgûl feared lieutenants in Sauron's army include the Witch-king of Angmar the most lethal of all. In Peter Jackson's film adaptation all nine Nazgûl are seen as they hunt Frodo and Arwen. When the heroes cross the Bruinen river near Rivendell Arwen conjures a flood that forms into a stampede of horses sweeping the Nazgûl away and causing them to lose their horses in the flood. 43 cm
