The drill head for step drilling is made of HSS (high-speed steel) and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride). This provides the longest possible lifespan and does not require the use of coolant. Laser-marked numbers on both flutes provide highly visible and durable marking of the hole diameter. Additionally the 3-flat shank prevents slipping in the drill chuck and provides efficient transmission with high torque. The HSS step drill head delivers smooth burr-free drilling in multiple diameters with a single tool. It is ideal for deburring drilling round holes and enlarging existing ones. Center punch marks are not necessary because the split point design allows for easy starting. Its CNC-ground flute enables optimized chip removal and less vibration for smoother drilling.
