When Peugeot manufactures its mills some of the wood is discarded if it contains marks or visual imperfections. This wood is then recycled without affecting its intrinsic qualities and the original textured finish is achieved by blasting the wood with ground nutshells. This process gives the wooden body of this manual pepper mill a unique raw look and feel. The body is then coated with an eco-friendly plant-based varnish comprising linseed oil and carnauba wax which protects the wood for everyday use in your kitchen.
