The Type XXI submarine with Inter has a separate left outer hull wall that provides insight into the interior. The surface textures are realistic and the model includes a detailed torpedo compartment and a crew living area. The control room is reproduced with great accuracy as is the conning tower with internal structures. The submarine has detailed diesel and electric engines and a battery accumulator compartment. The diving planes and hydroplanes are movable and the twin anti-aircraft gun turrets can rotate. The fin superstructure is equipped with antennas a periscope and a snorkel mast and the model has authentic U2540 decals with interior details.
