What fruit do you think of when you see our Tapir Baby from Schleich® Wild Life? That’s right! Its stripes and spots look a little like a watermelon. The fun pattern fades as it grows up. As it grows the little greedy guts puts on a lot of weight. As an adult your little trunked friend weighs almost as much as a horse. Wow. That’s heavy. But it can also be very useful. It can simply lean against trees to knock them over. Then the Tapir calf can get to the most delicious fruits at the very top. A truly impressive animal! Until then however it prefers leaning on your schoolbag. Not to knock it over but simply because it’s cozy.
