When not stuck the zoom ring is floaty and has catches. It is possible that the issue can get worse over time. There is also a small amount of fungus present within the lens this means that the item must be sotred separately from other equipment and if not properly stored the issue can get worse and affect images rendered. For these reason the item is being sold as spares and repairs.
