Giganotosaurus was one of the largest carnivorous dinosaurs. It roamed modern-day Argentina during the late Cretaceous period about 99.6 to 97 million years ago. The T-Rex was long thought to be the largest carnivorous dinosaur. Today Giganotosaurus is thought to have been slightly larger than a T-Rex although even Giganotosaurus lags behind more recently discovered carnivorous dinosaurs in size. 31.4 x 14.4 x 15.2 cm
