Real High-end Electrostatic earbuds are no longer a novelty in that market but the FX15 is FiiO's first attempt at producing such a product. During the development of the FX15 the R&D team spent a lot of time researching how to best utilize electrostatic drivers. Due to the low sensitivity of such drivers special care must be taken to ensure that they are not overwhelmed by the other dynamic and BA drivers used. Otherwise listeners won't be able to experience the unique sound that electrostatic drivers bring to the table.
