This fine tournier knife also called a bird's beak knife is a special type of herb knife which with its curved shape of the blade is particularly good for scraping vegetables without cutting through them. It can be used for example to peel ginger or gently remove black eyes on potatoes. The herb knife is forged from a single piece of high-quality stainless steel which gives it a streamlined look without edges or transitions. With a blade length of 8 cm. the tournier knife is easy to hold in the hand which is why it can also be used to peel potatoes fruits or other root vegetables among other things. The knife is dishwasher safe but it is recommended to wash it by hand daily. Dishwasher washing is hard on the steel and using the dishwasher too often can reduce the sharpness and shorten the life of the knife.
