Mit dem Synodalbeschluss zur Erneuerung des Verhältnisses von Christen und Juden der Evangelischen Kirche im Rheinland im Jahr 1980 hat erstmals eine evangelische Landeskirche in Deutschland das christlich-jüdische Verhältnis und den christlich-jüdischen Dialog sowohl ekklesiologisch als auch strukturell im eigenen Selbstverständnis verankert. Since then most of the regional Churches within the EKD as well as the EKD itself have followed this path. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Rhenish Synodal Resolution this volume contains contributions on the development and significance of Jewish-Christian relations and dialogue up to the present day.
