'Binding Nature of Fundamental Rights on the European Public Prosecutor's Office. Prosecution and judicial review in the European composite criminal legal order': Given its decentralised institutional structure and its hybrid application of national and European law the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) is an EU-body ¿sui generis¿. In this context the thesis establishes a coherent basis for the binding nature of fundamental rights on the EPPO. It examines which sovereignty the EPPO's actors operate under and clarifies the consequences this has for their obligation to respect fundamental rights as well as judicial review for persons they prosecute.
