Each coloured charcoal hue provides a light yet layerable wash and blends smoothly with a matte textured finish. Use the opaque white for highlights. Once dry you can lift erase smudge or draw over to add finer details. Activate the paints with a wet brush and experiment with the levels of water used for concentrated and diluted mixes. Use less water for deeper thicker gouache-like colour applications or use more water for paler washes. All the paint colours in this set are intermixable so see what shadows highlights and contrasts you can produce. The set contains 12 half pans and a mini water brush in a compact palette with mixing tray.
