The CRPG Book Project is a collaborative nonprofit initiative aimed at compiling the history of Computer Role-Playing Games into an accessible and educational volume. The book was written by volunteers from all over the world of various ages and backgrounds: developers journalists modders critics scholars and fans as well as parents couples grandfathers doctors teachers engineers businessmen and more. The purpose of the project is to share our passion for this incredible genre spreading knowledge that is currently scattered across numerous forums magazines websites and minds. The book covers CRPGs from 1975 to 2015 and includes several articles mod recommendations developer quotes and interesting trivia aiming to create a guide that will offer something for both old-school veterans and new players alike.
