Over the decades Swiss artist Irene Schubiger has altered the materials and forms of her sculptures inconspicuously yet always in a fundamental and independent way. Her recent bronze casts respond to painted plaster ceramics or offhandedly sharp combinations of plastics and papers. Solid bodies on plinths stand next to unprotected objects.
