Pirate variant of Catan for children who find the basic game a bit too difficult. However this simplified version of the most popular trading game of recent years presents enough challenges to keep adults interested. The players are pirates who try to conquer the island by building their fortresses and ships there. This requires raw materials which they can earn with dice rolls just like in the basic game. If they do not have the right resources they can trade with fellow players ports the bank and on the market. The ghost pirate can throw a spanner in the works by taking away hard-earned resources! The first player to build all his fortresses wins the game.
